In the summer of 2002, a small swarm of honeybees chose our backyard as their new
home.  Despite growing up as the son of a commercial beekeeper, I had no equipment, 2
small children and a pet.  I decided to kill the swarm with a can of Raid.  With remorse
from killing the colony, I purchased the basic-necessities to manage a hive of bees then
contacted the local Fire & Police Departments.  Two days later we started receiving
frantic phone calls and "Wessels Family Honey" was born!

President,
Josef Wessels

We started this business with the greatest hope of giving everyone in our family

Nate has grown so much not just physically but mentally as
well.  He is 12 years old and in the 6th grade.  He is doing
so well in Taekwondo, Basketball, Track & School!  He
still loves the weather and playing around with all his
weather stations as well as fogging up all the windows
looking outside, but he has also turned into quite the little
business man!!  The chicken coop is great and it was
already here!  Nate has made a few additions to it like
ordering chicks and at this time he is the proud owner of
about 60-70 chickens (okay 18 of these are Jolinas).  He
has feed, watered, cleaned that coop & added a solar
light for early morning egg hunts.
Nates Eggs $3.00 a dozen!!

Jolina has turned into a beautiful little 10 year old not just
on the inside but on the outside also, she is in the 5th
grade and is doing so well!  These last few years have
been so wonderful for her in many ways.....Gymnastics!
Jolina is on Flightschool Gymnastics Team she is so busy
with practice 4 evenings a week and meets on the most
weekends.  For Jolina who has spent most of her life
upside down walking on her hands instead of her feet &
doing flips thru the house she is doing very well,  her
bother & all the other boys are to scared to arm wrestle
her.  She is also the proud Mommy of 6 barn kitty's as well
as all the poor little mice & birds they so proudly bring to
our front porch!  Oops! She has 18 chickens also...Jolina's
green and blue eggs

I purchased a picture for the old house "Count Your
Blessings" every time I look at it I start singing a song from
Sunday School which I guess I am singing again for this
page.  For myself I am Wife of Engineer, Farmer &
Beekeeper Joe. Mom to Nate the chicken farmer & future
Meteorologist.  Mom to Jolina the Bouncing Kitty Girl.
Wessels Family Honey Managing Owner & Keeper of the
Home.  When life is really good...Floral Designer.  So
much has happened in the last few years we finally sold
our Subdivision home and found the perfect piece of
property in Forest Grove, OR.  A piece of perfection for
both home & business.  In 2009 & 2010 we have learned
that what is desired is worth waiting for, that God's timing
is not always ours!  We have had so many ups and downs
& thru every one of them God, Wonderful Friends & Family
where there helping, holding & guiding us!
From Our Family To Yours,
Thank You so much for the Sticky Fingers!
